Curling to Rock Klamath Falls!
Curling rocks and soon curling will rock Klamath Falls!
Thanks to an a special donor, Klamath Ice Sports (KIS) has ordered two sets of curling stones from the USCA. The special donor will be paying for one full set of stones and equipment; KIS is accepting donations for the second set of stones and associated equipment. You can donate via our secure online registration system now (click on the ‘REGISTER ONLINE’ tab on the right hand side of this page….we need to raise $9,900 to pay for the second set of stones and associated equipment!).
The stones arrived in Wisconsin on May 10th and we anxiously await their arrival in Klamath Falls the second week of June!
Meanwhile, take advantage of the opportunities at hand and see if you can catch some of the television footage from the recent Vancouver 2010 winter Olympic curling events. Then clear your calendar for the weekend of November 5th when the ice arena reopens and KIS hosts Curling Open Houses! Once the skating season is underway we will offer weekly ‘drop-in’ style curling sessions; as interest builds curlers will be able to rent the ice for their own curling teams.
