Congratulations go to the Santa Rosa Flyers for taking first place in our tournament.  Second place goes to the Willamette Valley Wolf Pack.  The Mt. Hood Grizzlies took third and Metro took fourth.  Thank you to everyone who participated in the Fifth Annual Collier Challenge Cup!

The Fifth Annual Collier Challenge Cup High School Hockey Tournament will take place Martin Luther King Weekend 2012.  The first game will take place on Friday, January 13th, at 9:20 p.m. and will feature the home team Klamath Falls Ice Hawks vs. the Mt. Hood Grizzlies.  Former team manager for the Grizzlies, Mr. Randy Johnson, was instrumental in helping us get our Collier Challenge Cup off the ground.  Thank you Randy!  There will be fourteen total games played on our home ice sheet during MLK weekend.  To view our final schedule please click on the following link:  2012 Bill Collier Challenge Cup Schedule  Game admission is $4 per person for ages 18 and older; $2 per person for ages 12 – 17; free for ages 11 and younger.  Day and weekend passes will also be available at the ice arena.

Tradition deems that we have a benefit lunch on Saturday during the tournament.  This year’s lunch will be catered by Wubba’s BBQ Shack and will be available on Saturday, January 14th, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. by advance ticket sales.  Tickets are $12 per person and will include smoked pork and chicken sandwiches buffet with baked beans, garlic mashed potatoes, and a choice of lemonade or iced tea.  Dessert will be provided by the Ice Hawks.  Tickets may be purchased online via our secure website (click on the ‘Register Online’ icon on the top of this page) or by phone (541) 850-5758 ext. 7.  Ticket sales end Tuesday, January 10th, at 7:00 p.m.
