Adult Hockey – 2012/13 Season

Klamath Ice Sports and the Bill Collier Community Ice Arena are in the process of rebuilding our Adult Hockey League.  During this transition period we will host weekly drop-in adult hockey sessions this fall.  Drop-in hockey is no check and prior registration with ISI or USA Hockey is strongly encouraged (KIS and the BCCIA do not otherwise provide sport’s accident coverage in the event you are injured participating in skating related activities).  All players must sign a liability waiver at the Skate Shack prior to getting on the ice for the first time each season.  Adults and high school aged youth are eligible to attend our drop-in sessions; goalies when they play in the goal (maximum of two per session) are admitted free.  Full equipment is required; we have equipment available to rent while the supply lasts.

We will also host a ‘Stick Time’ session on select Friday evenings this fall for ages eight and older; 1/2 ice for ages eight through twelve and 1/2 ice for ages thirteen through adult.  This session will be ‘no raise’.  Full equipment is required for youth (ages eight through seventeen) and helmet/gloves are required for for ages eighteen and older (full equipment is recommended).  ISI or USA Hockey registration is strongly encouraged.  Stick time is $8 per session.

Stay tuned for information about possible adult hockey ice rentals for the 2012/13 season!  In addition, KIS will likely be hosting an adult hockey tournament the weekend of December 8th.

We will provide an environment of fun, education, camaraderie and exercise. Would you like to get some exercise and have some fun in an awesome outdoor setting? If your answer is yes, then you should come out and play the COOLEST game on Earth….ice hockey.  Charlie Erdman and Brent Mc Carty serve as our Directors of Adult Hockey.
