Ice Hawk junior and assistant captain, Chad Steiner, represented his team and the state of Oregon at USA Hockey’s ‘America’s Showcase’ in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, April 13th through 17th. Chad travelled to Pittsburg with other players from throughout Oregon in their first ever appearance at the Showcase. KIS Hockey Director, Derek Martin, helped start America’s Showcase many years ago when he was in Chicago (the event was originally entitled the ‘Chicago Showcase’). Derek was able to secure a spot for Team Oregon this year and was very pleased that one of our very own hockey players was going to have the opportunity to play in the tournament! Way to go Derek and way to go Chad!
